What's everuones favorite greens?

Mine would be mustard greens.

They don't take long to prepare either.

Yeah, end of the week is here.

How do you like it? Do you saute it, blend it or bake it?

I see the mustard greens each time I go to the store. And I have no idea

what to do with them.

Hello Sue (Lily)

I sauté them in some olive or comparable oil with some garlic and onion,

then I add a little broth, just enough to simmer them in, and simmer on very

low heat for about 45 minutes or so. I add some soy sauce too sometimes.

Or you can eat them raw and burn the hell out of your mouth.

LOL! Dousing liberally with balsamic vinegar helps take some

of the sting out of raw mustard greens.

OK! What does everyone use to flavor their greens?

I'm from the deep south and my granny used bacon drippings. Now, I use

salt but would love to branch out a bit.

My dad (from Ark.) always used a ham hock :) I have used Bac-Os

(veggie) and soy sauce but my fave is a combo of indian garlic pickle

(Mother's brand is the best), greek olives and preserved lemons. I

like 'em hot & sour & spicy :)

Peace,

Diane
