Smile. We have lots of peanut farmers here in the southeast USA. " green "

peanuts are peanuts that are slightly less mature peanuts and freshly dug, so

still very moist and tender. You can buy them at produce stands, grocery

stores, Wal-Mart supercenters, and from farmers(or grow them yourself) around

here. I personally like the regular size green peanuts, more than than the

jumbo size, but the jumbo ones are the only ones available this weekend when I

went to buy some. You boil them, covered in water and a lid until tender.

Then you turn off the burner, but leave the pot on the burner and add salt and

cover with the lid. You will want to make the water extra salty, because it has

to pass thru the shells to get to the peanuts. Let them set for an hour at

least to soak thru the shells to the salt the peanuts adequately.

They tasted a little like beans and are very good. I just had a bowl for

breakfast. LOL

I will have to check the Wal-Mart super store here to see if they carry

them, but I would doubt it as no one around here would know what to do with

them!!!

I love them to! I bought some green or raw peanuts last month and broght them

home and my mother-in-law asked me what I was going to do with them? I told her

that I was going to boil them and eat them. Well she has never heard of that! I

told her that she was missing out!
