Guest guest Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 Brownies 1 cup sugar 6 tablespoons melted vegetable shortening 2 eggs 2 squares baking chocolate 1/3 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup flour 1 cup chopped walnut meats 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 tablespoons boiling water Instructions Cream vegetable shortening and sugar together, add eggs well beaten, chocolate dissolved in boiling water, salt, flour, vanilla, and nuts. Divide and spread thin in 2 greased square pans and bake in slow oven 325 degrees from twenty to twenty-five minutes. Cut in squares and serve with ice cream.
