Last night I made the butternut squash recipe I

posted. I made beans the other night. I just got

mine also. It's really a wonderful appliance. I'm

going to practice a lot more.

I started a pressure cooker recipe folder for us.

When I made the dried beans I measured a cook of

beans, and added a scant 3 cuops of water, chopped

onion, 1 clove of crushed garlic and I closed the

cooker and they were done in about 25 monutes or so.

Delicious, the flavor was so much better than the

crockpot or stove top,

Donna,

My plans to try out the new pressure cooker were derailed by " mom, I

forgot I need to have this done by tomorrow " scramble.

I have some anasazi beans in the pantry that I've been wanting to

try so I think I'll put them in once I finish being mom taxi this

morning. Thanks - I love beans and am so looking forward to this

helping me try new kinds.

Beth this is what Amy made when she brought her

pressure cooker us 2 weekends ago. She made the

southwestern stew in her cooker. First we cooked the

anasazi beans in the pressure cooker and then we added

the spices and cubed butternut squash and let it

simmer with the lid off for another 10 mins.

The stew is in the files, look in the soup folder and

then the stew folder, It was so good, I ate it twice

a day until it was gone.

Thanks Thia, I noticed whenever a link wraps into a 2nd line, the

2nd line doesn't " pick up " when you click. Here is another cool one,

You need to be careful though as when we reply or forward stuff

those pesky " > " show up and you have to take them out of the line

you copy and paste to the address bar.
