LOl Great story, I love it. OK I have to go search

through her recipes, I don't see where I posted that

one. They are so good. I used to have a guy at work

bring me qa huge bag of crushed up potato chips, he

would eat all the big chips and send me the crumbs so

Mom could make him cookies.

He cries oh, girl you must be mad,

What happened to the sweet love you and me had?

Against the door he leans and starts a scene,

And his tears fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually.

LOL!! your friend at work sounds like a hoot!

The things I made were " Potato Poppers " ..I had to go find it! I had

remembered them as 'rice balls' because it had called for rice, which I did

not have! I have no clue right now what I used instead! I had thought it

was the mashed potato, but the recipe calls for mashed potato, so who knows

what I used instead of rice! haha. There were one or two other items I

didn't have as well...lol. I remember digging through the fridge trying to

find something that would work...lol. I never have made them the " right "

way! I sure wish I had written down in the margin what I *did* use! They

were good, as I recall. :)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.....

I have Laurel's BRead Book. Do you have Venetarian

Epicure? How about the old version of the Tassarjara.

Now are those some old hippie cokbooks? I use them

all the time.

I know a lot of fancy dancers,

People who can glide you on a floor,

They move so smooth but have no answers.

When you ask whyd you come here for?

I dont know why?

Im looking for a hard headed woman,

One who will make me feel so good,

And if I find my hard headed woman,

I know my life will be as it should -- yes, yes, yes.

I lent my copy of Veg. Epicure to my boss & haven't seen it since lol.

I loved the Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe in there w/ the candied walnuts

on top. I made it once for a fancy auction and it raised $200 ! :)

Peace,
