Well, my pressure cooker arrived today!! I prepared the onions,

celery, carrots, and such, sorted and rinsed the split peas, got it

all going in the PC, and even ate most of my bowl of split pea soup,

by the time an hour had passed! (Not counting the time for a thorough

pot washing before using.) This is soooo awesome! :)

Congrats on your new baby!! It's cold here in NY today, I think I'll

make your soup. Enjoy it in the best of health!! BTW, I found

stainless steel bowls and metal trivets (for steaming) that fit

inside cookers at dollar stores. In case you are feeling

adventurous :>)

Ohhh, dollar store?? That certainly sounds cheaper than the ten (+ seven

shipping) from the company!

 

I tell ya one thing...it's much larger, and *heavier* than I had expected it

to be!!
