I believe Erin posted this for us a few times.

Not all cheese has non-vegetarian rennet.

There isn't a need to give up cheese if just you

can't.

Make sure you check the ingredients.

I buy rennet free cheeses by Horizon, I'm vegetarian not vegan.

I buy that kind of cheese. I like to eat cheese.

I eat alot of Mexican food and it needs cheese on it.

I don't like the fake cheese, it doesn't taste good.

we are lucky here in Ann Arbor, we have a fabulous Latino restaurant. Their

seasonings are to die for. Black beans, to die for. I want all their recipes.

They don't use much cheese though, just lots of cilantro. And lime. Oh now

I'm hungry, at 430 am.....Pretty sure they're closed..AmyF

I have emailed whole foods to ask about Italian Gorgonzola, the label just says

enzymes. (keeping my finders crossed)

It seems that it depends on the producers. For example

I found out that while German company Kaserei

Champignon make all their cheeses with microbial

rennet, another German company - Bergader - produces

all their cheeses with animal rennet.This was just to

give an example.
