If soy is a big cause of breast cancer, then I want to know why the Japanese

have the lowest rate of breast cancer in the world? No one culture eats

more soy, in any form, than they do. I just cant swallow the soy/breast

cancer.

It says in the write-up of the article I posted that they only ingest a very

small amount of soy overall. That their diet consists of mostly fish, 65%

to be exact. They also eat a ton of rice and seaweed, so really there isn't

a whole lot of room for soy intake if you think about it. I ingest more

than that on a daily basis in my morning latte.

I have a Japanese friend and he only eats edamame/miso a couple of times of

month and says its more of an American preference. Perhaps our belief that

other countries ingest more soy is based more on what we see in sushi

restaurants than what actually occurs.

I agree with you 100% with you Roxanne.

They say that cancer causing chemicals love to deposit into fat tissue.

Breasts are mainly composed of fat tissue.

I'm curious as to chemical concentrations in the breast tissue of cancer

patients, the general US population & that of Japanese women.

I have a friend over in Japan and they say that soy tofu is a huge thing there

and comes in all flavors. Most folks he knows eats it quite often. The

restaurants have it in many items on the menu too, he said.
