Guest guest
I also have the Kit.Aid precessor and it's easy to clean, compavt, works like a charm and I found it for under $100. My stand mixer is a KA and easily handles any bread dough I make. My first processor was a Cuisinart that lasted a little over 20 years before the motor died. The one I have now is a KA and I love it. I have KA in the kitchen and Maytag in the laundry and so far have only had to buy two food processors, two washers and two driers in the 41 years of marriage. > > Same husband person though; rather used to having him around with no plans of downgrading to a newer model. > > Hugs, Jeanne in GA > > > > > Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail. > >
Guest guest
Do people like Kitchen Aid better than other types? I have a Cuisinart. It works okay but when it needs new parts, it gets expensive. 2 days ago, I tried to take off the bowl but it would not come off. Finally, I got it off by prying it. It looks like the spindle is cracked so I may be looking for something else. Guest guest
I also have a Cuisinart - one that I've had about 25 years. Back when I bought it, this was the only model available - they came out shortly after with a smaller size. Anyway, I also have trouble getting the bowl on/off. I have to really whack at the handle. If that kitchen aid one is really good, it might be my next one. (Though the motor on my Cuisinart is still very strong.) Guest guest
Having had both, and friends with new Cuisinarts, I'd say the OLD Cuisinart that first came out was great (when France and the US were friendlier) and I love my current Kitchen Aid. Several friends have Cuisinarts that make great countertop ornaments till the parts come in. KWIM? So far my KA has worked fine (2 years, I think), and I use daily. (Used it to slice two bushels of squash for freezing in one day with no problems.) Jeanne in GA greatyoga <greatyoga wrote: Do people like Kitchen Aid better than other types? I have a Cuisinart. Guest guest
Maybe they are sending their rejects over here. What does KWIM mean? Guest guest
Sharon First I'm going to try to widen the crack in the spindle and shove some Gorilla Glue in. I'll then clamp it and hope that fixes it.' Ours is about 20 years and we've never had problems with the motor. It's just the other parts like the bowl breaking.
