Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Well today I got busy and cooked a pot of beans all day and made it into bBean Loaf, I also made a gallon of soymilk. Well I boiled a half of a soup pan full of water, processed my beans, and everything was going according to plan when I turned at a critical time and my beans went over the pan and all over my stove. My first concern was making sure I didn't lose my milk, after that I had to take my stove apart and clean it. You haven't lived until you have to clean soy pulp from a hot stove. I guess I learned my lesson (LOL). Everyone have a good night. Judy H How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Poor thing. That sounds like a big mess. I love my smooth top stove, unlike my coil stove that I had before. Why don't you buy a soy milk maker. My mom loves hers and it is so easy and quick to make. The only thing that is critical to do, but not hard, it clean it up right away so the pulp doesn't harden in it, she said. I think she said that she soaks her bean and the puts them in the machine and she must add some water, and in 30 minutes she has soymilk. You might want to consider getting one. BTW with your beans, consider buying a pressure cooker. It is so quick. Several of us on here have them. We have the Fagor one and it cuts cooking time way down on dried beans and so many other things. And wow does the food taste good that is cooked in it. Linen's N Things carries and you can find it on the internet. They are wonderful. Lots of great safety feature in the new ones. Guest guest
Hi Judy, You have two excellent suggestions. I will have to look into a good soymilk maker. The one I had before didn't do a very good job. Judy H wwjd <jtwigg wrote: Poor thing. That sounds like a big mess. I love my smooth top stove, unlike my coil stove that I had before.
