Guest guest
Does anyone have or had a vita-mix? http://www.vitamix.com/ If so, did you like it/hate it? I am thinking of purchasing one, but I really would like to talk to someone who has/had one before I put that type of cash down. Guest guest
I almost bought one once but couldn't part with the 400.00 dollars. I hear they are supposed to be really good. Guest guest
I've had one for several years that we got at Sam's Club when they were doing a demo there. We love ours. We use it for making wonderful smoothies, smooth gravies, creamy soups and alfredo sauces, eclair batter, fresh ground nut butters and so much more. They are wonderful and used often here. They work like nothing else on the market. You'll seem that at those fresh smoothie bars and restaurants. They really hold up well. Next time you are somewhere that they are making frozen coffee drinks or smoothies, look at their appliance they are using. It will 99.9% of the time be a Vita Mix. You'll love it. Guest guest
I have had a Vita-Mix for years and years. I love it!!! It makes everything, including fresh flour from grain, soft-serve ice cream, etc. And the clean-up is fast and easy. Guest guest
What is your recipe for the soft serve ICE CREAM? That sounds good. My daughter makes one in ours using Coffee Mate, but would love one with better ingredients. Judy - Marilyn Daub Saturday, October 28, 2006 1:11 AM Re: vita-mix? Guest guest
How does it compare to the L'equip RPM blender (one on eBay sold for $77)? Guest guest
I have no idea. Never seen one. I just know you can really count on the Vita Mix for the long haul and with the tapper and ability to puree many things that others can't to the same degree, I know you won't be sorry you bought it, unless you don't use it. It is just the most amazing piece of equipment that is so versitle. It is far more than a blender. Judy - Dana Tautz Saturday, October 28, 2006 11:27 AM Re: vita-mix? Guest guest
I wouldn't think there would be a comparison. The VitaMix is not a blender. It does not have sharp blades. It does all the work with " dull " blades and sheer force. This is how it can grind grain into flour.
