Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Granted, this wasn't an intentional thing but with each outbreak I become more and more wary. The fact that I read too much doesn't help either. It may be years before fresh spinach is back on my menu, if ever. Considering the tons and tons of animal waste that has to go somewhere it's a wonder that we're not all dropping like flies. Guest guest
Organic bagged spinich was always safe. I am more leery than ever of buying the conventional unless it is from a community farmer. Have you every explored joining a CSA (Community Suported Agriculture)? Guest guest
I've seen it out for sale but haven't ventured there right now. I can wait it out. Guest guest
I'm glad to hear that Donna has seen it in the stores. Maybe because she is closer to the area they grow large volumes of it. I'll be looking for it again when I go to the grocery store. Judy - cilantrogreen Sunday, October 29, 2006 7:23 AM Re: spinich I've seen it out for sale but haven't ventured there right now. Earthbound Farms was one of the organic companies on the list. I am sure there were others (Is Trader Joe's organic? they were on the list.). Organic means no pesticides. It does not keep accidental contamination from happening.
