Gingerbread Pancakes

Gingerbread Pancakes

 

Makes 18 pancakes

3 cups buttermilk pancake mix

3 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 1/4 teaspoons ground allspice

1/2 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

2 1/2 cups water

 

Orange Marmalade Syrup

:Yields: 1 cup

2/3 cup pure maple syrup 1/3 cup orange marmalade

Combine ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a

boil, stirring constantly.

 

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, and make a

well in center of mixture.

Add water to dry ingredients, stirring just until

moistened. May need to add some more milk-batter

should not be too thick.

Spoon about 2 tablespoons batter onto a hot, lightly

greased griddle.

Cook pancakes until tops are covered with bubbles and

edges look cooked; turn and cook other side.

Serve with Orange Marmalade Syrup

I never thought about using all them spices in my pancakes.. Looks

like i have my dinner tonight.. breakfast for dinner..

It really does sound good doesn't it. I love the way the syrup is made to.
