Anything that calls for honey. not often, but over (soy) yogurt, or icecream. Over mango slices. over warm grilled pears (ohhhh, YUM). Gee, I am looking forward to these responses too! ideas, ideas! Guest guest
Cream of wheat? Wow I haven't made that in a while and I love it. Thanks for reminding me about that. I bet it would be great on this. I love to stir in some trail mix into a bowl of oatmeal or Cream of wheat too. And the maple syrup would be a great touch. Never thought about adding it to Iced Tea. Guest guest
You're to funny Thia. LOL Great idea to dip the pancakes and waffles into it instead of pouring it on top. I too like it better when it just been poured on top than when it has soaked in. Lots of yummy suggestions. Judy - Thia .... Guest guest
OK, mine is real easy and so simple, lol Maple syrup on toast, or croissant. I also like to spread it on a slice of freshly baked bread when they are still warm to touch. I enjoy ice-cream spread with maple syrup on top with strawberry sauce, yummie I also like it over a nice sponge cake Best Wishes, Wee On 29 Oct 2006 at 17:19, wwjd wrote: > What are some of your favorite ways to use Maple Syrup? I'd love to hear about this. i'm guessing it's referring to the maple flavored stuff, tho. Maple syrup is only maple sap cooked down. Guest guest
If you're replacing a dry sweetener like sugar though, you may want/have to adjust the other liquids in the recipe. Also, there are charts out there describing the sweetening power of the various options in comparison to each other to in converting recipes. Anyway, have fun and let us know what you create. -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > Interesting to know about using it in baked goods. I probably use it more often *that* way, than any other ('cept, *maybe* on the warm grilled pears). Sadly, mine doesn't even make it to a bowl!! rofl. as soon as it is ready, I pour the maple syrup over it, right in the pot -- I don't stir it in...just let it float on top-- sit down with the hot pot, and a pot holder, and eat away!! hahaha. It's a wonder I have never burned myself.... Thia
