Bet that got your attention. It is Friday which is shopping night which means

there is barely anything in the cupboard. So I sacrificed my last 4

Gardenburger medley patties (I do enjoy those, sigh), 3 cups of brown rice, a

can of black beans, a can of red beans, onion, garlic, taco sort of seasonings

and a can of stewed tomatoes and water. I let it cook for a little over half an

hour, chopping the veggieburgers apart. It smelled so good I couldn't resist

trying a bite. It was good, darnit.

After it cooled, the dogs lined up and I spoon fed them. We have to spoon feed

them when they get goodies or Ursula, the Alpha Female, aka She Who Is In

Charge, will stand over the bowls and not let anyone else within 12 feet of the

bowls.

Spoiled? Er....do I have to answer that honestly? Ok, Yes, I am spoiled, I get

unlimited unconditional love from some wonderful dogs and cats and a rather nice

lambikins of a husband. Yep. I'm spoiled.

PS: I think I'll make it for the other bipedal humanoid who cohabits the house.

But I don't think I'll tell him that the recipe started out as something for the

dogs...maybe not the smartest thing I could do.

That did get my attention :0) hahahaa!

That's funny you have to spoon feed them. My dog is one of the reasons I

became veggie, I thought to myself looking at her one day, I share my bed,

blankets & pillow with this animal, why is it OK to share my bed with one animal

and eat another? I was done after that. I'm surprised it took me this long to

make a connection!

Enjoy that dog food :)
