Guest guest
Ok - so this is not healthy- but fun and tasty! Fried Oreos 15 Oreo cookies (estimate) 1 cup Pancake flour 1 Cup Milk (soy or cow) Cooking oil 1 Egg 2 tsp cookng oil 1. Preheat your oil to be 375 degrees 2. Mix 1 cup Pancake flour, 1 Egg together,1 cup Milk and 2 tsp oil together. 3. Soak oreos in pancake mix. (Soak!) you may not be able to put a lot of oreos in - no worries do in 2 or 3 batches. 4. When oil is hot - add your batter covered oreos. They will swell like puffer fish! 5. Flip after 1 minute or golden color. No more than 2 minutes. Guest guest
They don't have to soak long - the Puffy comes from the pancake batter cooking and 'rising'.(I think mine soaked a max of 5 while the oil was getting hot) Depending on how much pancake batter they are covered in (and how thick the pancake batter is) will depend on the thickness of the puffy oreo. As along as they are golden brown and cooked through (About 2-3 minutes at 375F) take them out and enjoy! What happens with mine - the cookie itself melts as one mushy treat inside a battered shell. Tasty! Christene Eggie <kaijax wrote: Ok, so I'm making these, they aren't puffing...what am I doing wrong???
