Guest guest
Hi There, I'm new to this group and to the vegetarian lifestyle. It's been a long time coming for me. During the last several months I've had a couple of experiences that have moved me to not eating other once living things. I think a lot more people would be veg if they saw the animals being killed. Anyway, my name is Melissa. My carnivorous family and I live in Eugene, OR. I very much appreciate being part of this group. Please forgive my naive questions. I have a lot of learning to do. Thanks, Melissa
Guest guest
Hi Melissa! I'm Whitney, recently veg too but it was a long time coming. We are a military family recently stationed in Oklahoma City. I'm from Boston, DH is from Tampa and we have an almost 3 & almost 5 yr old. We moved here from Germany, and I currently counsel domestic violence perpetrators & work at a battered women's shelter running rape & domestic violence crisis hotlines. My DH is NOT a veg and it's starting to become a problem for us, I think he originally thought this was a " diet " or a " phase " instead of a moral choice. Anyway, at first he seemed very supportive but it's tapering off. Last night I made a big pan of veggie lasagne before I went to work. I came home there was a 2 " square missing. He said it was just too much veggie & he took the kids to Arbys. Then I wonder why I keep cooking big meals, ya know? Anyway LOL didn't mean to hijack your post, just thought I'd let you know you're not the only one living among carnivores!
