The right side of my face is black and blue and my eye is swollen almost shut. (On blood thinners for a blood clot not that long ago and I have a very fair complexion.) Sooooooo when we went to the grocery store the husband person was getting the ODDEST looks. Cannot imagine why. He says he's making me stay inside till the bruising is gone. I know, when one is ever with someone with lots of bruises, that is way to common of a reaction. When I fell off one of our horses earlier this year, I had a bad bruise from my wrist to my elbow and on my thigh, from my knee to my hip. The bruise got large in area and the buisisng color got a lot worse as the week went by. It was very hot weather so I was wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts everyday, which made it so you could really see them.. My doctor suggested taking an aspirin about 3 times a day to prevent blood clots, which I think, like in your case, made the bruises look worse.
