Prosage is a frozen 1 lb log and has a sausage flavor. I'm guessing it

would be like the Give me Lean Sausage that some of you have talked

about.

I haven't tried the Give me Lean - Vegetarian Roll " Sausage " though.

Worthington makes the Prosage

and

you can find it in the Adventist Book Center/Nutrition Centers.

This is delicious and I hope you enjoy it.

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.

Shine on you crazy diamond.

Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.

Shine on you crazy diamond.

You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,

blown on the steel breeze.

LOL thanks for straightening me out. Where do you find it in the grocery

store?

I was going to say that you could also use the Morningstar Farms Vegetarian

" Sausage " flavored crumbles to that you find in the frozen section of your

grocery store. Here is what the package looks like for them

Enjoy,

Most of the time, Lightlife products are found in or near the produce

section-- near bagged lettuce, etc.

Pre-dinner nosh:

Pistachio and Garbanzo Pâté with toasted pita pieces (if I can find the

garbanzo bean flour or get off my backside and make the flour myself, lol)

Spinach stuffed mushroom caps

Raw veggies: carrots, grape tomatoes, sweet pepper strips, celery, broccoli

florets, cauliflower florets, jicama, black olives, green olives with Ranch dip

Assorted nibbles: Fried Pasta, Chex mix, nuts, dried fruits

Dinner:

Broccoli Mushroom Casserole

Sautéed corn with peppers and onions

Dressing/stuffing with lots of celery, onions, etc served in a pumpkin shaped

serving bowl

Cranberry sauce

Sweet potato casserole (too many casseroles but it is tradition, tradition,

tradition)

Fried apples

Heavenly rolls

Brandon's favorite corn muffins

Dessert:

Choice of coffee or tea

Choice of:

Pumpkin pie (it would mean war if this was omitted)

Andes Mints Chocolate Cake

Blobs

Oreo Truffles

Oh Lord, someone stop me. Whyyyyyyyy did I promise to make everyone's

favorites? Thankfully most of this stuff can be made in advance, frozen and

then heated on turkeyless day.

Will post recipes after I am awake. Following a really long night I think I

will curl up in the bed with some of the cats (if they will let me have leg

room) and have a cat nap.

I am likely to make a Quorn roast, but I'm starting to think of it as more of a

side dish

since I'm looking forward more to stuffing and DH loves his mashed potatoes and

gravy.

:-)

Looks like it is going to be just DH, me, and one friend for Thanksgiving

dinner. DD

almost always goes to her husband's family for this holiday (and his birthday,

which is the

day before Thanksgiving this year). DS, newly single again, has other plans. Our

families of

origin are pretty carnivorous AND they are out of town so we would have to

figure out how

to take care of our guinea pig boys if we went to see them. Too much work! It

will be

interesting, though, to have such a small table this year.

Well, I can finally answer this week's question. (I had to confer with

the kids.)

My menu is:

Lasagne

Turkey breast (for the non-veggie kid)

Mashed potatoes

Salad (with lots of fancy add-ons, like feta, dried cranberries and walnuts)

Green beans (or corn)

Cranberry sauce (homemade - trying new recipe)

Biocca rolls (recipe posted)

Dessert:

Pumpkin pie with ice cream & whipped cream

I know, I know. So boring! And also a bit weird. (Lasagne with mashed

potatoes?) But my kids _really_ like our traditional menu. I am

planning to use a different pumpkin pie recipe, though. This new recipe

has cream cheese in it. I was fighting for a different dessert, but

BOTH kids wanted pumpkin pie. I can't see making another dessert for

just three of us, and me the only adult. As it is, I'll have tons of

leftovers.
