Guest guest
LOL thanks for straightening me out. Where do you find it in the grocery store? I was going to say that you could also use the Morningstar Farms Vegetarian " Sausage " flavored crumbles to that you find in the frozen section of your grocery store. Here is what the package looks like for them http://tinyurl.com/f92tg Enjoy, Judy - PuterWitch Sunday, November 12, 2006 8:54 PM Re: Question of the Week it's gimme lean, LOL. Guest guest
I am likely to make a Quorn roast, but I'm starting to think of it as more of a side dish since I'm looking forward more to stuffing and DH loves his mashed potatoes and gravy. :-) Looks like it is going to be just DH, me, and one friend for Thanksgiving dinner. DD almost always goes to her husband's family for this holiday (and his birthday, which is the day before Thanksgiving this year). DS, newly single again, has other plans. Our families of origin are pretty carnivorous AND they are out of town so we would have to figure out how to take care of our guinea pig boys if we went to see them. Too much work! It will be interesting, though, to have such a small table this year. -ginger just north of Boston hoping the backyard creek doesn't rise any more in this rain , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > Our question of the week, this week is........ > What is the recipe for the Meatless Entree you will prepare for Thanksgiving > next week? > I look forward to your great recipes. > Judy T, >
Guest guest
Well, I can finally answer this week's question. (I had to confer with the kids.) My menu is: Lasagne Turkey breast (for the non-veggie kid) Mashed potatoes Salad (with lots of fancy add-ons, like feta, dried cranberries and walnuts) Green beans (or corn) Cranberry sauce (homemade - trying new recipe) Biocca rolls (recipe posted) Dessert: Pumpkin pie with ice cream & whipped cream I know, I know. So boring! And also a bit weird. (Lasagne with mashed potatoes?) But my kids _really_ like our traditional menu. I am planning to use a different pumpkin pie recipe, though. This new recipe has cream cheese in it. I was fighting for a different dessert, but BOTH kids wanted pumpkin pie. I can't see making another dessert for just three of us, and me the only adult. As it is, I'll have tons of leftovers. Sharon
