Guest guest
I love soy yogurt. I'm not vegan but after having a patch test, it showed I have cow's milk allergy. I get away with a sprinkle of parmesan and aged cheddar. Butter doesn't bother me for some reason. I sure miss cottage cheese. Guest guest
Hi all, If you have been tested and you are allergic to cow's milk, STOP USING IT. One day you will all of a sudden have a bad reaction to something and then you will be like me. Milk used to " bother " me. Then last summer it hit. Even a drop of milk, cheese, butter, yogurt etc made me violently ill. I now carry an epi pen. I'm almost like the peanut people. We have all meet one and I know understand them. Goat cheese, try several different types, you will find one that you like, soy yogurt - get plain and add things to it, fruit on the bottom is only jelly, perserves etc. Soy " buttery " spead is not bad and is much better than going to the hospital after stabbing yourself. I accutelly like soy milk. I can make good " ice cream " with silky tofu, I can't believe I said that. I am a vegan in most of my eating. Guest guest
I never liked cheese or yogurt so it's not an issue for me. However, my son missed dairy desserts. We figured out that in some recipes (like chocolate cream pie) you can replace milk/cream with canned coconut milk. It works great in some recipes, others it just doesn't taste right. You have to experiment. Deanna " Thia ....
