Guest guest
> Got my boyfriend to agree to a meat free home!!! Now *that's* the kind of supportive bf to have! Great going, Laura, on persuading him - and good for him that he was able to be persuaded. As for the parents, screw them (well, not really). Best luck in your new place - I'll be thinking of you Saturday and hoping your have a stress-free move ;=) Don't forget us! Guest guest
YW! That's cool that you got him to do the meat free zone thing. I just let my bf do whatever and eat whatever I feel like. My sense of smell isn't that great. I know if I lived by myself, I wouldn't buy any meat. I do eat seafood when I go out to eat unless it's at the Thai food place. It's nice to be in a group where there's so many different kinds of veggies. I tend to switch a little bit. Back the summer of 2001, I decided to try to become vegan but I couldn't do it for very long. Loved cheese too much. I have had some tofu cheese but it wasn't as good and had more fat in it than regular cheese. Today, I don't eat much dairy either. Just a little bit. For those who like soup, you should try the recipie I posted. My favorite parts of it are the tofu, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. I might have bf get me some hot and sour soup later tonight but from the chinese place. It's good for the cold and it dosen't have meat in it like some of them do. Jessika Laura Moore <laurakatemoore wrote: Got my boyfriend to agree to a meat free home!!! We are moving on saturday and in the process of packing. The last straw for me came last night when he came home and cooked burgers and ribs. The whole flat absolutley reeked of it!!! I've never known the smell to be so bad! I couldn't stand it and had to cover my nose and then stick my head out of the window. It really upset me too. So after talking about it Russ (bf) agreed to have our new flat as a meat free zone! He knows its bad for him and wants to lose weight and get healthier. Guest guest
I won't be throwing it out the back door. I finally got it right with this cast iron cookware. About darn time, right? I didn't use any steel wool, just plain old hot water and Joy dishwashing liquid. It got off the nasty " preseasoning " crap that came on it. I used Crisco this time. Thanks for that idea, Donna. I want to thank each and every one that helped me finally get this done. My dear husband is also happy that the smoke has finally cleared. *hugs* Tamara ______ PeoplePC Online A better way to Internet http://www.peoplepc.com
