Do you know where to find Used homeschooling computer stuff thats

still good for halfway cheap

I am seriously thinking about taking Tiny out and doing that.. I do a

better job with him at home then the school could do all year.. He

seems to have a teacher who doesnt want to explain thing to him like

she should. I feel that he would do better with me teaching him.

Also Any advice would be great.

I home-schooled both of my kids. I had problems with teachers and the whole

school system here. My son was going into second grade and my daughter was in

6th when I took them out. My daughter is now 23 and my son is 17.

It was and still is a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. I have a lot of

links to some websites I could send you off list if you want them. I also have

bought a lot of books off of Ebay. You can get some great workbooks and things

at a reasonable price there.

I do not know where to get homeschooling computer stuff, but I wanted to lend

you

support at least. I homeschooled my two until they went to college. One never

went to

public school and the other went part-time for a few years before deciding it

was too

much hassle for the benefit she was getting from it. They are now 27 and 25

years old

(how did THAT happen?) and seem to be productive, relatively happy human beings.

It

started as an experiment and worked well enough that we kept on doing it. :-)

We were eclectic homeschoolers, taking what we saw as the good bits from a

variety of

sources and becoming very good friends with local librarians and interlibrary

loan people. I

wish you luck in finding what works for your family and your situation.

My oldest two children are homeschooled and have been for going on six years

now. My biggest suggestion to you is to check out what resources are available

in your area for homeschoolers. Are there adequate and appropriate support

groups? Does your local community college offer classes for kids? Are there art

programs to participate in, etc? One of the main reasons we moved from Texas to

Eugene, OR was for the community programs available for kids and adults alike.
