Question of the Week fried green tomatoes

I'm in L.A. and it's almost impossible to find green

tomatoes. Tomatillos are not the same thing. I do

have a produce guy at Whole Foods that will put one

aside for me if he finds one in the batch. I fry them

in panko coating and they are delicious.

Coated with lots of cornmeal, flour, cayenne, cumin, salt & pepper

and fried up. I like them in a sandwich.

I love fried green tomatoes. But only if the Green tomatoes are out

of my personal garden. Which I didnt not have this year and missed

it greatly.

 

I fry them in Vegetable oil most of the time.
