Would you use the same amount of applesauce ( 1cup) in this recipe???

yes, anytime you are making a baked good, you can replace apple sauce 1 for 1

with veg. oil

I don't know about butter, just know it is great for oil and no one will ever

know you did it, it actually makes baked goods lighter, and of course there is

no oil to settle into the bottom of your baked goods.
