I am miles from a store and only have white cornmeal and would like to

make corn bread..Anybody ever use it for muffins or corn bread?

Snow storm on it's way and I need 'comfort food'.

While I've never used white corn meal I don't see why you couldn't. I believe

the only difference is that it's made from white corn as opposed to the yellow

that's made from yellow corn. Your bread or muffins just won't be yellow.

I use it and/or yellow cornmeal in recipes interchangably. Both are good. I

think the white make a lighter cornbread and the yellow ends up with wonderful

little crunchy bits in it.

Seems like the I noticed that too Judy. The yellow is

more crunchy when baked up but they both work in

recipes.
