Guest guest
Thank you Lady of the Lilacs! Not panicking is the hardest thing to do. Hopefully they'll give me something to calm me down before doing the heart cath. I am a huge tofuchicken. (Also to be hoped is that they LISTEN when I tell them that they can give me a lot of Versed and it won't do a thing.) Still have knee mails going out for your Mom. Is she doing better? Are YOU holding on ok? Hang in there, we need you. Give Koko a pet for me. Smoogles and love from Jeanne in GA Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta. Guest guest
I would ask for a med. to relax you, if they don't . I have a huge claustrophobia of CAT Scan machines. My doctor has given me something to calm me before having that test. The place I have it done also allows you to bring a CD to listen to while the CAT Scan is done. I always bring some nice soothing music that tells stories in their songs or books on CD. It is a great distraction and gets me thru the test. Yes those doctors do need to listen to us. We know a lot more about our bodies than they do. They can't keep up with each individual patients particular responses to med. so it is very important to let them know. Bless your heart. Guest guest
I have to agree with Judy I have had a CAT Scan. I am not at all claustrophobic, but can imagine how one might become claustrophobic in that machine. Speak to your Doctor. Tell him of your fears and concerns, as well as teh staff that will run the machine. They have all had experience of patients suffering from claustrophobia, and they should be sympathetic to you. Also, what Judy says is good, some nice soothing music. Always a good way to spend time. wwjd <jtwigg wrote: I would ask for a med. to relax you, if they don't .
