Guest guest
This is great! I'm not really a big fan of corn syrup though. Any thoughts on an alternative ingredient? Thanks! , grow514 wrote: > > Homemade BBQ Sauce > > Add to a small saucepan and saute until transparent: > 3 TB butter > 1 small onion, diced > 1-2 cloves garlic, minced > > Add and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes: > 1 TB of prepared mustard > 1/2 tsp. salt > 1/2 tsp. paprika > 1 TB sugar > 2 TB fresh lemon juice > 1 TB Worchestishire sauce > 1/4 cup ketchup > 1/4 cup corn syrup > Dash of chili powder > > Allow to cool and place in an airtight container and place in refrigerator. > > > > > >

Guest guest
One of my friends would use brown rice syrup when a recipe called for corn syrup. Maybe you could give that a try. ~ PT ~ , " bethanyfights " <bethanyfights wrote: > > This is great! > > I'm not really a big fan of corn syrup though. Guest guest
I don't post alot but wanted to say thank-you for posting this recipe. It sounds really yummy and I didn't have a good homemade bar-b-que recipe. Also to the poster who asked about what to use this on, I would think that it would be good on vegetarian baked beans or even some tofu.
