Guest guest
I first hit on what's now called Tender Bits in college in Walla Walla, where there's a 7th Day Adventist community, but back then they were referred to as fake scallops. So when I occasionally eat those, I do them with garlic, lemon, pepper and olive oil. That's a good price for a case.... > http://tinyurl.com/2d86ru
Guest guest
Hi Tom, There actually are Tender Bits and Skallops put out Worthington/Loma Linda. We love them both.... I also went to a 7th day Adventist University. Southern Adventist University in near Chattanooga. The Skallops are one of my husband's all time favorites. We usually bread them with Italian Bread crumbs and fry them. Not the healthiest way to eat them,,,,,,,,,but oh so good. We like tarter sauce or Cocktail sauce to dip them in after they are cooked. I am so happy that Amazon carries these, along with free shipping and great prices!!! We buy from them quite often. Enjoy, Judy - Tom Tuesday, August 28, 2007 8:31 PM Re: What food do you buy on Amazon - Tender Bits I first hit on what's now called Tender Bits in college in Walla Walla, where there's a 7th Day Adventist community, but back then they were referred to as fake scallops. Guest guest
Hm. That tiny url link just sent me to a page about the sausages by Worthington, and I could not find the Tender Bits or veg Skallops there. But I sure have been having fun looking at all the other cool vegetarian products I can buy to try online. My favorite hot dogs are those veggie links by either Worthington or Loma Linda. Some folks think they sound gross because they come in a can and not in a plastic wrapper like regular meat hot dogs, but to me the taste and texture is the best of all veg-dogs I have tried thus far. ~ PT ~ Month of September - benign are the planets; Tending to please, the sea and the hamlet; Common it is for steeds and men to be fatigued. ~ anon. Guest guest
Have you tried the Smart Dogs, which DO come in a regular ole' hot dog wrapper? Those are GREAT and I find them at my local Walmart. Also I just discovered my grocery store has the Smart Bacon and the Gimme Lean vegatarian sausage. I had the sausage this morning with my pancakes and it was WONDERFUL!! ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: Hm.
