Guest guest
Here is a wonderful recipe for a savory quick bread. It is so easy to make and is delicious sliced with fresh ripe garden tomatoes! Enjoy. Cottage Cheese Dill Bread 1 cup unbleached white flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 cup cottage cheese 2 large eggs, beaten 6 Tbs. milk 1 Tbs. honey 4 Tbs. melted butter 2 Tbs. fresh dill weed ~ finely minced [i have used 2 tsp. dried when I could not get fresh dill] Sift together all the dry ingredients. Mix together all the wet ingredients in another bowl and add the fresh dill to this. Add the dry ingredients by spoonfuls to the wet, and gently stir to combine. The mixture will be very stiff. Put batter into a greased bread loaf pan. Bake it at 350 degrees for about 35 to 45 minutes. Guest guest
I'll have to try this. I have misplaced my recipe by this name, but was sooooo good. Mine had minced dried onions in it also. Judy - ~ PT ~ Sunday, September 09, 2007 1:38 PM [recipe] Cottage Cheese Dill Bread Here is a wonderful recipe for a savory quick bread.
