Guest guest
I have a New Year's resolution to work harder to go vegan from being vegetarian. When I became vegetarian 19 months ago, it was with the goal that I become vegan within 2 years. That hasn't been going well. So for now, I plan to give up all dairy products except cheese, and I will still do eggs. Those 2 things seem impossible to give up, but a few years ago, I would have said the same about beef and chicken and it's been surprisingly easy. I'm lactose intolerant and shouldn't be doing dairy anyway. Eggs will be the last to go because they are in my favorite meat substitutes, and if I don't eat an egg for breakfast every day, I feel unsatisfied. To accomplish the goal of less dairy, I also resolve to eat more legumes, which I love, but somehow rarely get around to eating. Guest guest
Mine is to get at least one person to go vegetarian, if not vegan sometime this year, whether it's someone I personally know or not. I have to work tonight--HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! " Cuthbert J. Twillie " <jdsears669 wrote: > > 1. Do you have any Vegetarian New Year's Resolutions? > 2. No resolutions of the vegetarian kind, but my resolutions are to get all my xmas 2008 shopping done by October 1st this year! Also to just live healthier. > 2. What are your plans for New Year's Eve and Day? On New Year's Eve we went to dinner and a movie with friends. We saw 'I Am Legend'; very Omega Man. New Year's Day we went to a potluck at some other friend's home. I took a marinated pasta salad. ~ PT ~
