Guest guest
I know that this is very OT but if anyone out there knows how to make a teared cake (3 tears) can you let me know how that is done? I would like to make one for my sisters baby shower. Thanks, Valerie Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
I have yet to actually do this myself, but basically what it involves is making three separate cakes (one large, one medium, and one small): Check out this tutorial for more info: http://www.essortment.com/food/howmaketier_slfn.htm Hope that helps, Dave Valerie Cropsey <fantsybeads wrote: I know that this is very OT but if anyone out there knows how to make a teared cake (3 tears) can you let me know how that is done? Guest guest
My wedding cake was 3 tiered and had 3 or 4 stakes running through it. They can be removed as it is cut. Guest guest
oh wow! baby booties!! how cute! I love to see a picture when you are done. jeannie nancihank <nancihank wrote: This website has good pictures and instructions on making tiered cakes. They are not that hard to do but do take time. You will have a lot of fun. http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/how-to-make-a-wedding-cake.htm I am making petite fours that look like little baby booties for my daughter's baby shower next month.....they look like they will be more time consuming than a larger cake or single petite fours but are just so cute I want to try them. Nancy C. Well, cakes are either ovo lacto vegetarian or some are vegan, so why not post here? Valerie, I think you need a framework support to make cakes like this because this is what I see in cake shops. I would like to know too... , Valerie Cropsey wrote: > > I know that this is very OT but if anyone out there knows how to make a teared cake (3 tears) can you let me know how that is done? Guest guest
The shower is not until April 26th but if I can get my husband to help me with the pictures, I can email you one. Today I finished making little candy/nut cups that look like little baby booties out of small plastic bathroom cups, cotton balls, double stick tape and kleenex and thin blue ribbon....they are cute and cheap! I am also making cream cheese baby bootie shaped mints, baby hand and foot print sugar cookies as well as Onesie and bib shaped cookies. Baby Blue Punch with rubber ducks floating in it. The baby bootie cakes are in an old Martha Stewart Baby Special Issue dated 5-4-03, page 116 and 117. If you would like me to type the instructions for you, email me privately and I will do that....nancihank. Nancy C. East Texas oh wow! baby booties!! how cute!
