Guest guest
just to clarify (after a bit of a discussion with the moderator of another group), the reason i wrote " chicken " like so is to indicate that i mean a recipe which does not use actual meat. thanks for the recipe that was sent earlier - i'm going to go to market in the morning and try it out for lunch or dinner. Guest guest
Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here. Hi, everyone! Anyway, here's the " chicken " soup I make when I'm sick. Or when I'm not sick. It's good either way. Keep in mind that I've never used a recipe for this, so measurements are really up to you, and put in or take out ingredients as you see fit... Makes a whole @#$%load of soup. -3 or so large carrots, chopped into large pieces -1 bunch celery, chopped into large pieces -1 turnip, chopped into large pieces -1 rutebega, chopped into large pieces -1 celery root, chopped into large pieces -3-4 parsley roots, chopped into large pieces -1 bulb fennel, chopped into large pieces -2 smallish sweet potatoes, chopped into large pieces -2 potato-potatoes, chopped into large pieces -2 leeks -2 packages White Wave chicken flavoured seitan, including broth, or seitan of your choice. TVP works, too. -alphabet noodles (a MUST if you're sick!!! Otherwise, use boring old plain old yawn- inducing old noodles. Or barley. Or rice.) Throw it all in a pot that's big enough to hold it. You might need 2. Boil till all ingredients are cooked through. Serve with garlic bread, like I do, or just by itself. Eat. Sweat. Enjoy. For sickies, I recommend adding hot sauce (like siracha) and lots of garlic. Get well soon! Melody -- http://www.flawlessfitness.com
Guest guest
Oh, I forgot to add one ingredient: veggie broth (I use No-Chicken Broth by Imagine foods), enough to cover all ingredients. Kind of an important one to include. , " nadiana01 " <nadiana1 wrote: > > Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here.
