Hi all you gals and guys,

 

My name is Merna - that's my real name

 

I live alone now so can't cook as much as I would like.

 

But when I do cook I try to stick to veggies.

 

My favorite thing is to go to a Chinese restaurant and order their veggie

plates. I like this because I get lots of mushrooms and it is difficult to

buy so many kinds for just one person.

 

Thanks for sending information along with the recipes. I learn a lot

dishes right now are vegetarian stews and salads.

I like the stews because the leftovers are yummy

I love Booja Booja Vegan Maple Pecan ice cream - this is probably only

available in the UK and it is truly delicious. However I have the Vice

right now I am eating minestone every day! I made it this weekend and am loving

it for lunch, but the only meat I miss are " junk meat " like bologna, chicken

wings, as I grew up in buffalor and BACON, so I love the morning star farms

buffalo wings, the texture is firm, not like many meat replacements, and they

are nice and spicy. My 13 year old son loves them as well, and he is a vegan

I must learn more about this! I love both maple and pecan! And I've got a

full bottle of organic maple syrup just itching to go beyond pancakes...

 

I found a wonderful egg-free ice cream recipe in Better Homes and Gardens

which their food writers (and I) have adapted quite freely; I can try this

combination! I've also seen a vegan " ice cream " recipe blog; will look up

later.

Hi all! Just checking in for the roll call ... it's me Chell or " Bean "

if you prefer from Maryland. Right now my favorite veggie dish is

couscous with pan-fried extra firm tofu, roasted veg (peppers, squash,

portabellos, baby corn and broccoli) and wilted fresh spinach on top

with a dribble of sesame seed oil and a few bits of goat cheese melted

in for a nice velvety equivalent of a needle scratch across a record

for the taste buds. Oh, and washed down with a chilled glass of

freshly juiced carrots! Mmmmmm.
