Guest guest
I don't use anything near that. I put on a pot of water to boil and toss in anywhere from 2-4 bags, take it off the heat and let it steep. Green shouldn t steep as long as black or it can get quite a bite to it. After it steeps, I pour that water into a gallon pitcher, then add additional water to make a gallon. I do not sweeten it. Guest guest
Do you mean for iced tea? I don't use as many bags for making iced tea as the instructions call for. I like to use about half the amount, so about 7 to 8 bags per gallon of hot water; I do this because I allow it steep longer so you don't need so many bags. If it looks too strong a brew, you can easily add more cold water to it. I have never made iced green tea though. Maybe it is very different... ~ PT ~ You will find relief from vain fancies if you do every act in life as though it were your last. ~ Marcus Aurelius, philosopher and writer (121-180) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , Valerie Cropsey <fantsybeads wrote: > > Ok, so I make green tea for us and I was looking at one of the tea bag instructions and it tells me that I need 8 oz of hot water per bag. Guest guest
Maybe I make mine too strong! *lol* I do like it pretty dark I guess, but that was the way my Grams always made it and we do fill our glasses with ice and then pour the tea over top, so it does dilute as the ice melts. I don't usually sweeten my tea, but sometimes I will mix in an organic bottle of lemonaide because that is how my daughter really likes it. People around here call a half-lemonaide, half-iced tea an " Arnold Palmer " . Must be he really liked his iced tea that way. ~ PT ~ Keep them from harm, Keep them from jealousy, Keep them from spell, From North to South. ~ Scots Gaelic blessing for the protection of animals [trans.CM] , " Kerry " <earthmothermoon wrote: > > I don't use anything near that.
