Good for you! Give yourself a big hug, you deserve it.

I'm going to try these pills. Where do you get them?

Sam

PS Good for your DR too, being supportive of veg. diet.

I'm still fat, but have lost 130 pounds. My blood pressure is actually a bit

low. My bad cholesterol is low and my good cholesterol is high. My heart

tests came back as really good.

My doctor says it is all due to my vegetarian diet and making proper

choices. He is pleased that the sugar pills worked to lower my cholesterol.

Yep, sugar pills -Polycosinol - made from natural sugar cane. lol!

It is kind of funny how the scientists are nattering on and on about this

pill and that and drink wine, then don't drink wine, then drink a gallon a

day, then no, then drink more water, then no because of water intoxication,

then....too bad they just don't say ditch the animal flesh, walk or get

moving, even in the wheelchair, and eat your veggies.

Pass the broccoli. love to all, Jeanne

PS: I've been out of the wheelchair for a year and a half now. Lacto-ovo

vegetarian for close to 25 years.

My doctor has me on Now Life policosanol capsules, which are actually

vegetarian. I found some online (same ones) priced a lot lower than what I was

paying at his office. Here's one link - you might find it in a local health

foods store or even drug store.

http://www.iherb.com/productdetails.aspx?c=1 & pid=743 & utm_source=gb & utm_medium=pf

Hope the link works. If not, I found the online one at IHerb dot com.

Read about the stuff online. Even the AMA approves, which is scary because

they'll probably make us have to get a prescription for it soon. Personally I

find that herbal supplements work better for me since I went vegetarian so long

ago. Back when I was eating meat, they didn't do a thing. Wonder why...Jeanne
