Guest guest
Hi, Michele! Glad to " meet " you! Let the people in the summer program know that Steven is on a special diet and tell them what is expected. Nine times out of ten, in a situation like that, they will ask for you to send his lunch with him. It may not work but it's worth a try. I've taken my own food to restaurants that don't allow outside food and they let me because they didn't want to have to deal with fixing me what I needed. Guest guest
Hello I am eating less and less meat for my health and because I don't like the thought that a life is extinguished when I can eat beans, veg, nuts, and fruits..... Guest guest
Hey, Debra. It sounds like your son and I have some of the same restrictions. I blog recipes at http://aprovechar.danandsally.com if you end up looking for ideas with photos. I do not eat entirely vegetarian anymore (became overwhelmed with it on top of my food allergies/intolerances), but I do post vegan (or easily veganized) recipes frequently. Guest guest
I am new to this group. I have tried being a vegetarian for a long time, but at times have been eating fish and chicken. I prefer not to. I hope to find some new recipies and new ways of cooking as a vegetarian. Leslie
Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Leslie! Hang in there--you can give up chicken and fish if you try hard enough, although I can understand the temptation and weakness because I loved chicken myself when I was a meat-eater. I had a hard time giving up cheese even more though when I first became a vegetarian, but it's getting easier now that I've been making an effort to refrain from it and am now almost 100% vegan, with just a little ways left to go, with the exception that I still may use a little honey from time to time. There are some GREAT alternatives out there that taste just like the real thing, so just search around and try out the options until you find the one you like the best. One of my favorites is the Worthington Fry-Chic fake soy chicken that I get from my local health food store. GREAT in rice dishes, particularly! muddybird2000 <YAHWEHSGIRLS wrote: I am new to this group. I have tried being a vegetarian for a long time, but at times have been eating fish and chicken.
