Summer fresh veggies are here!

 

1. What are some of your favorite summer garden

veggies that you look forward to the most?

 

2. Do you grow any of your own vegetables?

 

3. What are some of your favorite dishes you make

in the summer with these garden vegetables?

Mostly tomatoes! They just aren't as delicious any

other time of the year as they are during the summer.

I love zucchini and yellow summer squash, too. I can

usually find them through the year and they taste pretty

good, but something about the season of summer just

makes them tatse the freshest.

Not currently. I just haven't had the time this year and

I think my current fur babies [two pitbulls and two jack russels]

would probably find the garden irresistable and go a-diggin'.

1. What are some of your favorite summer garden

veggies that you look forward to the most?

 

Tomatoes are the top of the list, and then next would be cukes. I love cucumbers

fresh from

the garden because the skins are yummy to eat when they don't have the yucky wax

coating

on them. I can just never get that film off the store bought cukes!

 

2. Do you grow any of your own vegetables?

 

I wish! Sadly, no.

 

3. What are some of your favorite dishes you make

in the summer with these garden vegetables?

 

I have a lot of recipes for both tomatoes and cucumbers, but in the summer they

are best just

eaten fresh. I do like them slightly chilled though.

1. What are some of your favorite summer garden

veggies that you look forward to the most?

 

Definitely tomatoes. Zucchinis, chiles, cucumbers, and okra are my very

favorite summer veggies.

 

2. Do you grow any of your own vegetables?

I don't get enough sun in my yard to have a real veggie garden. I have grape

tomatoes, jalapenos, and basil growing in pots on the deck.

 

3. What are some of your favorite dishes you make

in the summer with these garden vegetables?

 

Salads, salsas, pasta dishes, etc...

lettuces and tomato. i like dandilion greens from my yard too.

fruit - peaches, cherries, all melons, nectarines, plums, figs,etc........

tomatoes, watermellon, peppers, cucucumbers, stringless pole beans, eggplant,

basil, chives, stevia, rosemary, lavender, sweet potatoes

 

 

3. What are some of your favorite dishes you make

in the summer with these garden vegetables?

 

salads, casseroles, steamed, stir-fried, roasted, soups, pole beans and red

potatoes boiled together with some Ms. Dash, butter and salt, etc.
