Time for a new set of group questions of the week. [QOTW]

QOTW for August 3rd -9th, 2008:

1. What type of cooking method do you employ

the most during the summer months?

[stove-top, grilling, crock pot, baking, etc.]

2. How many times a week do you eat outdoors?

3. Do you have any vacations or road trips planned?

[share you best on-the-go veg dining ideas]

I usually use the stove for cooking meals. I might stir fry some veggies and

cook some rice and make some kind of dish from that, or perhaps make a casserole

in the oven.

I may eat outside about once a week. I esp like eating outside if I'm at a

restaurant somewhere.

No big, major road trips, but I did go out to New Braunfels and then San

Antonio the other day. I celebrated my first year mark of being a vegetarian,

so I stopped off at a snake farm, where they have reptiles as well as various

land animals in the back, some of which were rescued from farms and state fairs,

such as potbellied pigs and goats that I LOVE interacting with! Then I rented

an intertube and floated along the river for a couple of hours. From there I

went out to San Antonio to the river walk and enjoyed a veggie burrito and

margarita, so I had a nice time.

I seldom cook in the summer since it is just me. I get fresh veggies

at the local farmer's market (romaine lettuce, tomatoes) and fix a

veggie burger sandwich on brown rice bread.

Maybe once a week at a nearby park.

My road trips are local back and forth trips between one house

and another in the remodeling process. This job takes my summer

money for awhile.
