Apple Peach Sauce 1 peach, peeled and diced 6 apples, peeled and diced -I used Gala 1/4 c. peach nectar* or water 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 t. cardamom 1 t. cinnamon I steamed it in a large bowl, covered with a dinner plate for 5 minutes in the microwave first to get it a heat start. Then add to a heated 2 qt. crock pot and cook on high for 2 hours. If you want to do this on the stove top, skip the above step and mix all together and cook on low medium heat, covered and stir as needed. It will be dons in about 20 minutes. Mash with a potato masher or immersion blender is you like it smooth. We like it just the way it is. *Peach nectar can be found near the Mexican food at Wal-mart in 12 oz cans. It is around 45 cents.
