Guest guest
Does anyone know if the " fishy " taste/smell that I detect from HEMP OIL is a result of its age? When I first started using it to get my omegas, I thought it had a wonderfully nutty flavor and I enjoyed dipping fresh bread in it as you would do with olive oil. Lately, when I've used it to cook with, there is a rather strong " fishy " aroma and/or taste that turns me off. Is this because the oil is too old? Could it be that this odor is emitted when heating the oil past a certain temperature? Was this always a characteristic of hemp oil and somehow I have now become more aware and averse to it? Thanks for your ideas/knowledge!
Guest guest
i'm not 100% certain here, but i was always under the impression that the smell was the result of heating the oil. i've never been a big fan myself, and the smell is a definite turn-off for me too... Guest guest
I have never used hemp oil, so I cannot tell you if the smell is from age or from the heating. Fishy sounds horrid! I'd dump it. ~ PT ~ " I think that's what unity is - knowing one another and coming together and working with no conflict.
