Guest guest
Your menu sounds wonderful. Isn't it true that even if we were to only put one small dollop on our plates of each of the menu items, still it will be too much? *lol* Oh well, I will be thankful for the one day of mighty excess. So, your wife will not enjoy the veggie roast? Has she tried it before? My husband is an omnivore and he has tried the Quorn roast I usually have, and he thinks it is okay, but prefers his turkey. Oh well... but he doesn't have to have different stuffing made with animal broth, but his gravy needs to be! [or so he thinks] So what movie do you think you will watch? ~ PT ~ A sun-drenched sky on windy autumn day; out across open fields passing clouds make shadow play. Guest guest
Hi, She hasn't tried the Celebration Roast. This is the first time I'm trying it. I've tried both Tofurkey (she didn't like), Quorn Roast (she thought it was okay but not that great). Movie to be watched? Not sure yet. Guest guest
I haven't tried the celebration roast either because we do not have any in stores around here. Be certain to tell us how it is and if you enjoy it. I am curious about the ingredients: is it soy or more gluten based? Tell your wife that I loath the Tofurky, too! It tasted just okay to my palate, but it gave me the burps all day that year, and I felt sort of sick to my stomach after an hour of that! Yucko I love the Quorn roast though. It is my favorite of all. I buy them year 'round because it makes the best sandwiches and wraps with the leftovers. My husband thinks it tastes great, but still prefers to eat, as he calls it " the real thing " on Thanksgiving. Oh well! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving! ~ PT ~ November comes And November goes, With the last red berries And the first white snows. With night coming early, And dawn coming late, And ice in the bucket And frost by the gate. The fires burn And the kettles sing, And earth sinks to rest Until next spring. ~ Clyde Watson ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , Gary Mattingly <gsmattingly wrote: > > Hi, > > She hasn't tried the Celebration Roast. > This is the first time I'm trying it. Guest guest
I'll get back to you on how it tastes but here are the ingredients for Celebration field Roast: Ingredients: Filtered water, vital wheat gluten, expeller-pressed safflower oil, yeast extract, barley malt, butternut squash, organic wheat flour, granulated garlic, apples, mushrooms, onion powder, garlic, organic wheat flakes, yellow pea flour, lemon juice, red wine, tomato paste, Irish moss (sea vegetable) extract, black pepper, rubbed sage, rosemary, spices, natural liquid smoke, paprika http://www.veganessentials.com/catalog/field-roast-stuffed-celebration-roast.htm I also really like the Quorn products and the Tofurkey wasn't my favorite veg food.
