Guest guest
Oooooooh, I just printed off the cornucopias. They look amazing and maybe they would be nice to serve to DH with Christmas dinner. I'm thinking we may just stay home alone for a change. I need to come up with some new and interesting ideas since he has decided to try going veggie after watching Dr Oz on Oprah this week. I am overjoyed but need to find things that tempt him. At least he has promised to have a more open mind than in the past. Audrey
Guest guest
What are cornucopias? I've never heard of those, if I may ask. --- On Thu, 11/27/08, Audrey Z Burrows <quiltbug wrote: Audrey Z Burrows <quiltbug Re: cornucopias Thursday, November 27, 2008, 11:33 AM Oooooooh, I just printed off the cornucopias. I tested these on my friends who were over to watch the last NASCAR race of the season a couple weeks ago, and they loved-loved it, all of them. (Only I use Bakesheen egg wash substitute, 'cause I'm allergic to eggs. And I subbed broccoli for cauliflower because I hate the stuff.) http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/9698?section= - antcheek Thursday, November 27, 2008 3:58 PM Re: cornucopias What are cornucopias? Guest guest
In post #39414 Audrey replied to you with a link. [see below]... there is a picture on the Veg Times website with a recipe: http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/9698 A cornucopia is a horn shaped thing that is filled with veggies and such. Also called the Horn of Plenty. Very festive and pretty. ~ PT ~ , antcheek wrote: > > I asked a couple of weeks or so ago what cornucopias were and never got an answer. Guest guest
It is usually seen as a horn shaped basket that you put on your table at thanksgiving had have vegetable spilling out of. I found a link for the recipe below and it shows it with a pictures. http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/9698?printer=yes This is made with with puff pastry for the basket shape in this recipe though. Look at that link above. Judy - antcheek Monday, December 08, 2008 1:59 PM Re: cornucopias I asked a couple of weeks or so ago what cornucopias were and never got an answer.
