Guest guest
Yes, I am very curious as to how you like it: Was it good warm? and Did you enjoy the leftovers? etc. It sounds like we have similar tastes in veggie analogs. The only thing of Tofurky brand that I really like is the tubs of mushroom gravy with vegan giblets. That is really good! I took that poured over some Quorn roast slices and my vegetarian stuffing to the omnivore dinner party yesterday. I just got up when everyone else was filling plates at the buffet, and put my own veg stuff on my plate, and nobody even noticed I wasn't eating the same thing they all were! *lol* Not to give anyone the wrong impression that I am hiding my vegetarianism or anything like that, but I just didn't want to get into any discussions about it. Our hostess was an 80 year old woman who was so gracious, and I didn't wish to take any of the attention away from her lovely dinner party. ~ PT ~ , Gary Mattingly <gsmattingly wrote: > > I'll get back to you on how it tastes but here are > the ingredients for Celebration field Roast: > Ingredients: Filtered > water, vital wheat gluten, expeller-pressed safflower oil, yeast > extract, barley malt, butternut squash, organic wheat flour, granulated > garlic, apples, mushrooms, onion powder, garlic, organic wheat flakes, > yellow pea flour, lemon juice, red wine, tomato paste, Irish moss (sea > vegetable) extract, black pepper, rubbed sage, rosemary, spices, > natural liquid smoke, paprika > > > http://www.veganessentials.com/catalog/field-roast-stuffed-celebration-roast.htm > > I also really like the Quorn products and > the Tofurkey wasn't my favorite veg food. > > > Gary > > > ________________________________ > ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll > > Thursday, November 27, 2008 7:38:16 AM > Re: QOTW: Your Thanksgiving menu? ~ Gary > > I haven't tried the celebration roast either because > we do not have any in stores around here. Guest guest
I liked the Celebration Roast. Actually the stuffing I fixed had Field Roast Chipotle and Apple Sage Sausage crumbled into it with three or four hot peppers. I haven't had any leftovers yet so I can't say how they are. And I also had the Tofurkey Giblet Gravy with potatoes. Gary ________________________________ ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll Friday, November 28, 2008 6:25:31 AM Re: Thanks Gary!
