Guest guest
I agree with you! This is my personal choice. I do not try to convert others. My husband hates any kind of shellfish and he would never eat it to be polite. That's his choice and nobody ever questions that. My choice is not to eat anything that has even touched the meat. Why do people question that? I'm more than willing to take food wherever I go so I am rarely faced with that decision. I find that most of my friends and family are quick to warn me when there is an animal product in a dish. I have never figured out why some people think potatoes should be simmered in chicken broth. Oh well, that's their personal choice. I never question it but thank them for warning me and I just don't eat the potatoes. Audrey
Guest guest
Same here, I would skip eating those taters too. My friends at work look out for me, because they know I am a vegetarian. At our company xmas party that is catered, there were some curious/questionable items on the buffet. I asked my friends if they thought the egg rolls had meat etc. and they could not be sure, so I just didn't try any. Thankfully there was a nice pasta primavera served for the vegetarians as a main course option. But many of the appetizer things just looked too iffy. I stuck with salad and the cut raw veggies and dip. Guest guest
You know...I really do think others are thinking we are judging them for eating meat...not the case. We do what we want...and respect others for their choices. It is such a personal thing. ________________________________ ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll Friday, December 26, 2008 4:35:52 PM Re: Vegetarianism is a personal choice Same here, I would skip eating those taters too.
