Guest guest
I've had neurological symptoms (fatigue, tingling, etc. similar to MS) for the past 20 years which have very slowly progressed. I've done some 100% raw stints here and there during the past 7 or 8 years, some fasting and other therapies. Still wouldn't get away from the junk. The day after Christmas last year, I finally decided that I'm done...I've been eating about 70-90 percent raw foods and absolutely no junk/highly processed foods for the past 2 1/2 months. Mostly salads, fruit, green smoothies, sprouted grains & nuts/seeds. During the 1st month I was feeling better and better and actually the best I've felt in years. But then the bottom fell out. For the past 6 weeks I've been feeling worse than ever. I don't understand what the hell happened but I'm not too happy about it. Just so you know, I'm still totally functional I just don't feel like doing a whole lot other than laying around. I've been wondering if it's detox, but I've noticed that I basically have no body odor since getting off the junk and I assumed if I was detoxing I would notice the body odor. Wondering if anyone has any insights or has had a similar experience and wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks, Paul www.myspace.com/paulladendorf
Guest guest
Hi Paul, Fatigue is a very common symptom of detox, many people experience. Our bodies are doing a lot of extra work when we go raw. You might try experimenting with cutting back on fats (nuts, seeds, avos, oils) and sprouted grains as they are both harder to digest than fruits and veggies. Keep at it!! You are on the right track!!! Wishing you all the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com > " paulladendorf " <paulladendorf >rawfood >rawfood >[Raw Food] My Story >Fri, 09 Mar 2007 22:24:04 -0000 > >I've had neurological symptoms (fatigue, tingling, etc. similar to >MS) for the past 20 years which have very slowly progressed. Guest guest
It sounds like your body is going into a healing crisis. This is a welcomed condition, since it is in crises like this that the body does the most healing. If it were me, I would make space in my schedule to stay at home and sleep and rest and eat as little as possible, depending on what your body is telling you. You may need to take time off from work to let your body do its thing, but afterwards you are likely to notice some great improvements in your health. Guest guest
I'm surprised it's lasting this long, but I agree with everyone else that it could be related to detox. I've personally found little body odor while fasting, perhaps its related in some way. Actually, if you would like to post your typical weekly diet, in detail, I am positive the members here would be able to identify any possible deficiencies contributing to your tiredness. But, it sounds like your diet is well rounded. Anyway, it's a possible avenue for advance. While you will detox switching to raw food, it shouldn't be harsh enough to cause these symptoms unless there was a whole lot of detox that needed to be done. So maybe post what your diet was like before switching to raw as well, in a fair level of detail. Good luck! Guest guest
Paul, please get out of bed and begin walking. This is the only way you will build up your strength. You need to begin pumping up your metabolism to build energy. You should begin digesting your food better and feeling better soon. To your health...Melody
