Guest guest
Let me say this about enzymes. From personal experience and from lots of reading on the subject I have to say that enzymes are the secret of life. I take digestive enzymes before every meal and systemic enzymes on an empty stomach. I have never felt better in my live. I daughter in Nevada had 5 ovarian cysts that had been growing for two years until the one in her lower abdomen was the size of an orange. She was scheduled for surgery at the advise of her physician and decided to follow my advise and started taking 30 systemic enzymes a day. In four days the cysts started to reduce in size noticeably and in 3 months they are gone. Her hair stopped falling out and her periods are back to normal. She raves about enzymes. Has anyone read Dr. Edwards Howell's book, Enzyme Nutrition? Amazing, definitely a must read. Raoul ______________________________\ ____ Sucker-punch spam with award-winning protection. Guest guest
Thanks for that reference... he couldn't possibly have written a book about enzymes without SOME scientific reference. Thanks to those who replied to my question. I agree with the person who said that maybe the enzyme thing doesn't matter one way or the other, since it's well documented that heating food does away with vitamins/minerals in some cases (of course, in other cases, heating food INCREASES certain vitamins-- ie, tomatoes -- but I think this is the exception rather than the rule) Kristen

Maybe people just need to eat more tomatoes That way we don't sacrifice who knows how many precious nutrients for the sake of supposedly increasing one, and the lycopene is in the doses with all the other nutrients. I prefer to just eat food Lycopene is also in a few other foods (such as watermelon), and for a raw fooder, where fruit is an *entire meal* rather than a gratuitous garnish or side dish, we get our antioxidants and nutrients in megadoses. For myself, I can eat 1/4 of a giant watermelon in a day, and I eat 5-6 organic (there is a vast difference in nutrients between organic and conventional) tomatoes in one sitting. Guest guest
Hello Paul, I agree whole heartily with you concerning enzymes. Dr. Howell has tons of scientific data to back up what he has to say about enzymes and proves beyond a doubt that what other doctors thought was totally wrong. He proved that even though our bodies can manufacture enzymes to help digest food it is a huge strain on our bodies and greatly reduces our longevity and exposes us to all diseases. That is why he advocates getting our enzymes from our foods and supplements. I can attest that this works from my own experience and that of others that are close to me. Do you remember what happened to the Primitive Eskimos when they changed from raw to cooked? Raoul ______________________________\ ____ Don't pick lemons. Guest guest
Fuhrman also thinks organic doesn't really make a difference versus pesticides. He has done some great things, but it's a wonder how he can help ANYone sometimes! lol Never miss an email again! Toolbar alerts you the instant new Mail arrives. Check it out.
