Guest guest
Can you recommend any good brands for these? There are several different kinds on ebay, but I want to make sure I get a good one if I'm gonna pay $20 for it. :-) Becky rawfood , Judy <rockyplayful wrote: > > I have a device called a " saladacco " that makes raw zucchini into spagetti noodles. Is that what you're looking for? I got it on ebay. It's awesome, btw!! I can make " spagetti " with raw pesto (grind up nuts, garlic, cilantro, basil, olive oil, salt & pepper, and a little lemon juice) whenever I get an urge for Italian food and I don't feel deprived of pasta in the least! > Judy > > debrenanicole <debrenanicole wrote: I'm looking for two items but I don't know what they are called. Guest guest
Sorry-I just looked at mine and there's no label on it, so I couldn't tell you what kind it is?? But they all look exactly alike as far as I can tell. Amazon.com has them as well. Also, thought I'd mention that my mother-in-law (who was intrigued by my " zucchini spagetti, " btw!) found one at a thrift store for $4. I don't know what brand it it, but it works fine and looks just like mine. So if you ever happen to go thrift shopping keep your eyes peeled! Good luck! Guest guest
Hi I have tested ALL of these spiral things, did not like any and made a better one. I have my first batch done and I'm wholesaling them to dealers for $30 It looks like the Benrinner, but is made better. See benrinner here: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Benriner-style-Fruit-Veg-Turning-Mandoline- Slicer_W0QQitemZ250099155367QQihZ015QQcategoryZ20641QQssPageNameZWDVWQQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem Usually they go for $50 Saldaco is flimsy, the top crank style (Joyce Chen, Metro) etc.break very easily and are a pain to use. Guest guest
No, from what I've read the original " saladacco " is no longer made, but other companies now make them--they're called " spiral slicers " I think. Guest guest
Hi - I'm looking to buy a spiral slicer. I'd really like something that will make the angel hair pasta [rather than spaghetti size] from vegies. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Diane rawfood , " mstrong56 " <mstrong wrote: > > Hi > > I have tested ALL of these spiral things, did not like any and made a > better one. > > I have my first batch done and I'm wholesaling them to dealers for $30 > > It looks like the Benrinner, but is made better. > > See benrinner here: > > http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Benriner-style-Fruit-Veg-Turning-Mandoline- > Slicer_W0QQitemZ250099155367QQihZ015QQcategoryZ20641QQssPageNameZWDVWQQr > dZ1QQcmdZViewItem > > Usually they go for $50 > > Saldaco is flimsy, the top crank style (Joyce Chen, Metro) etc.break > very easily and are a pain to use. >
