Speaking of cabbage...

I was reminded of when I first started eating instinctively (raw), just after I

had quit

smoking. I found myself eating massive amounts of shredded red cabbage--I loved

it to

pieces! Couldn't get enough of it. I mostly ate it undressed, but sometimes

made a

lemon/raw honey mixture for it. I coughed up a whole lot of mucous for at least

a month,

but soon got back into my 6am 6 mile run routine, with no breathing trouble.

Also, I recall

that during that phase, I very often ate nothing but lots and lots of grapes for

breakfast. I

" feel " that grapes have a similar mucous-outing effect, but I know none of the

science

behind it.

Joe, you mentioned a particular enzyme in cabbage...could you refer me to an

article or

more specifics? Also, do you know if that enzyme would still be present in raw

sauerkraut

(ie. raw cabbage fermented with sea-salt)? People who find raw cabbage a bit

aggressive

tend to prefer a raw cabbage sauerkraut.

Brilliant blessings upon all of you!

You want to get rid of mucous??

<tee hee>

Try downing 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of mascicated fresh raw horse radish

root. Can fill up the teaspoon with fresh squeezed lemon jiuce, but

nothing else.

Take a teaspoon of this morning and evening ...with nothing else, no

water, tea, not a single extra thing...and you will find your eyes,

ears, nose, mouth and any other possible crack in the head <g> will

pour with tears and phlem etc anything up to 15-20 minutes. Don't try

to stop it or brush it away too much.

Do this daily for a couple of weeks or so <individual dependent> until

you can take a spoonful without any effect whatever, and that will rid

the body of excess mucuous.

Great eh?

<knew you'd be inspired>

How long do you go before you can eat anything else? I've been

feeling pretty sick lately... I just adopted a 3rd cat and I think

my allergies are acting up. I think this might help. :)

Thanks,

Jenn

Apparantly, you just do your normal day whilst 'doing' the horse

radish routine as it were.

Basically your own body tells you you are clear when you no longer

find yourself pouring...

has to be fresh mashed up root, perhaps that little extra lemon juice

and nothing else taken until that bout of clearing stops.....then

repeat evenings.

Unfortunately one very good 'cure' <so I have read> for allergies is

cup after cup of very strong black coffee. Supposed to be very helpful

in asthma attacks too.

Not sure how to get around that one on raw...other than to practise

looking innocent...for after the event.
