Guest guest
Has anyone noticed animals behaving differently around them since going raw? I'm only 75% raw, and I thought I was imagining this at first. It seems I can get closer to wild life then my kids and husband can, (my kids are older and will walk quietly) deer birds etc. Also we just got a bunny for Easter, and it squirms in everyone else's arms but mine. He's very relaxed with me. In fact my family won't let him out of his cage unless I'm around because I'm the only one who can catch him and put him back for the night. I've always liked animals, but have never been great with them. My husband and son are much better when it comes to training, etc. I wonder if I smell that different from the other non-raw family members? Like I said I'm not totally raw, but I am 100% vegan. Just curious... Deanna
Guest guest
Hi Deanna, That's really interesting. I don't have any personal experience regarding that, or a very articulate way to explain it. But, it would make sense to me because I believe as you remove gunk from your system and get cleaner, you get more sensitive and able to conduct energy better. You might be able to intuit how to interact with animals better, even though you might not be consciously aware of it all, and they might sense that you are closer to nature or your essence, in a way. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing. Laurie rawfood , " drl8994 " <drl8994 wrote: > > Has anyone noticed animals behaving differently around them since > going raw? Guest guest
Wow, that is really interesting! I don't have much chance to be around animals that haven't known me for a long time, but next time I am I will pay more attention. :-) All the best, Audrey www.rawhealing.com > " drl8994 " <drl8994 >rawfood >rawfood >[Raw Food] Animal Behavior >Fri, 13 Apr 2007 23:10:06 -0000 > >Has anyone noticed animals behaving differently around them since >going raw? Guest guest
Odds also are that these animals smell meat though you, and consider you are preditors, therefore in circumstances difficult or impossible to escape easily from, they may stand still, or freeze, not to trip your chasing mechanism. Deer, especially if alone, would be sensitive to be being without the covering protection of their herd. Wild animals are not to be confused with Disney characters made to appear human with human emotions and cuteness. They may all be cute, BUT they are wild animals and unless their own breed is cuddly amongst itself, cuddling is NOT a natural environment for them and WILL likely be hugely stressful for these 'creatures'. I'd say, stand well away and leave their vicinity at the earliest moment if you want them not to be exposed to fear. This planet is no longer, IF EVER WAS, Eden...but is wild LIFE. LIFE does not CARE. Only those of our own species can offer us the shelter of 'caring'. If 'caring' and 'cuddling' is not in the species you are petting....think of how harmful to that animal your petting ACTUALLY IS. -- In rawfood , Shay Butter <sheabuddah wrote: > > ive noticed it. Guest guest
It is surely not a question of destroying DREAMS which, in themselves, are beguiling facades, but of building REALITY...which IS 'RAW'...and hard-edged and UNFEELING, outside of our OWN plucking of our Human heart strings....in many more ways than the singular choice of uncooked foods. Otherwise the danger lays in luring us into a purpetual CHILD'S' vision of what life MUST BE, and being hurt and disappointed and angered to impotence, when that Big Toy Land is suddenly swept from our view....exposing the tough and icy windswept face of the real, UNKIND, DISINTERESTED... Nature. Which OUR 'ideals' would flee. I will try not to interact much. Or perhaps at all. That will save this...unease..? rawfood , Shay Butter <sheabuddah wrote: > > lmao! No disney hunh? Okay. Guest guest
Yes. My sister gave me her two chinchillas. I've known them since we got them and I was a carnivorous omni. At that time I had a hard time with them being calm around me, let alone letting me touch them. The older one didn't seem to have too many problems with me, but still was quite skittish, but definitely the younger one we got later was way skittish. About the same time I went to raw vegan eating, I also put them on the same type of diet of grass and fruit. No more Mazuri which has had whey in it. Since then, either me or their changed diet, they are much more happy to see me and will let me groom them and come up to me inquisitively and curious making gestures with their hands looking right at me. What they're trying to say is usually feed me, or give me more dust bath. However, they are still quite independant minded and always trying to escape and definitely don't want me picking them up. But if I am still they will put their front feet on my open palm and explore and even try to groom me. How incredibly cute! If I may offer my opinion why this may be I would have to agree that smell is a large part of it. A non-carnivore smells waay different than a carnivore. However, I do believe there is more going on being the fact I believe that all this reality and time and space is energy which is in a coherent self repeating yet evolving vibratory pattern waves in constructive and destructive interference -- It is one wave folded on itself creating a hologram that includes all dimensions and senses, thusly everything interacts with everything, the whole is in the part and the part is in the whole, meaning there is no coincidence. Being a vegan or raw food vegan will change the signature energy vibration. I believe animals are more tuned into senses such as picking up another's energy vibration signature at distances for survival purposes. I believe we as humans have this same trait strongly with other humans. Ever been around a person who's happy and radiating? Its contagious. It's also known as empathy, but I believe that the measurable senses only convey the half of what is actually happening in the present now. If we eat only plants then we may be more in " resonance " with others that also eat only plants, such as chinchillas or deer or rabbits. On the other hand, my sister's dogs seem to love me just fine either way I am, vegan or not. I guess dogs grown up in a loving environment just have big hearts like that. Guest guest
For all the animal lovers...I have had many encounters in nature with animals. There are plenty of animals that will allow contact and they will definitely let you know if you can approach or not. It is possible. There are many " domestic " animals that don't want contact...just take the time to listen and don't force them. And a final thought in my rambling...YES, vegetarians do " smell " different...I don't know exactly what " it " is in meat but there is " something " that changes the chemicals in our bodies. Personally, I've noticed changes in my skin, hair...the way I feel, I don't weigh any less but I feel " lighter " (thats the only way I can describe it). I just noticed last night that the cravings I used to have are gone.... Stephanie Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Check outnew cars at Autos. Guest guest
Hmmm, this is all very interesting. My daughter eats meat and her own dog prefers me, the mainly raw vegetarian. Perhaps the dog wants to eat her, LOL! A little more opinion is that when we eat raw, we're calmer and happier and will attract animals easier. All animals come to me. Part of natural horsemanship is first to just be with the horse and pretty much ignore them. You don't train them until they come to you. I've found with all animals this is the same. If you run up to them and get excited they will flee. Be still and they come. Eating raw makes us more peaceful people. Sharon rawfood , bobby kerry <bobby_ya333 wrote: > > Yes. Guest guest
Sharon, I don't know about that, I have a 16 year old DD with a dog. I am still transitioning and only about 80% raw. My DD's dog also prefers me, but I think it is because I am the one who is home everyday to walk her, and I make sure she is fed every evening and give her a cookie every morning and let her inside and outside all day long. I give her cuddles whenever she comes over to me and asks with her paw,,, My DD is too busy to take the time to do much besides the occaisional cuddle and the dog realizes this. Funny, my DH's 2 cats prefer me too, again because I am the one who does all the same for them( except the daily walks...) and my DH works from home and has time for his cats, but I am the " queen of the food " in our house.
