It's really simple once you do it a few times. I do ices (I make fennel sherbet in the summer) with a regular mixer/beater and a freezer. Mix the ingredients together, put them in the freezer for a few hours. When it is near-frozen, take out and beat in the mixer. Replace in freezer. Keep repeating until it's finished. This assumes someone is home in the kitchen every few hours during the ice cream-making day, of course. Recipes can be anything that tastes good to you. Try cream, sweeten to taste. Frozen bananas blended with other fruit - like strawberries - make a creamy frozen dessert.
