People sell ice cream makers to people who don't have faith in their

own ability to make ice cream. It's really simple once you do it a few

times.

I do ices (I make fennel sherbet in the summer) with a regular

mixer/beater and a freezer. Mix the ingredients together, put them in

the freezer for a few hours. When it is near-frozen, take out and beat

in the mixer. Replace in freezer. Keep repeating until it's finished.

This assumes someone is home in the kitchen every few hours during the

ice cream-making day, of course.

Recipes can be anything that tastes good to you. Try cream, sweeten to

taste. Add vanilla and raw honey. Raw carob powder if you like, or a

raw egg. You're good to go.

Freeze the fruit of your choice - experiment- put it in the (powerful)

blender with some juice or water and blend it until it is the consistency of

ice cream. Frozen bananas blended with other fruit - like strawberries -

make a creamy frozen dessert.

i know this is a dumb question, but do we have to peel organic bananas or can

we just freeze them?

I found the best way to be is to peel them and then slice them and put them in a

plastic bag.
